HR Manager (Part Time)

Location: Boston, MA    |    Department: CTP     |      Job Type: Part Time

CTP is looking for a confident, energetic HR Manager who will lead our efforts to sustain a positive and action-focused approach to CTP’s team experience, from recruiting through daily culture at the agency. In this role, you will develop and execute a people strategy that maximizes employee engagement, builds upon CTP’s unique culture and recruits/retains talent. You will also manage our Manager of Culture, who will support you on many of the below responsibilities.

Recruitment and Retention

  • Develop company-wide strategy to attract and select high-caliber talent.
  • Become accustomed to CTP process and tools for posting jobs, gathering, screening and distributing resumes, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and extending offers.
  • Own our new hire onboarding process and ensure complete execution in collaboration with our Manager of Culture, Finance team and hiring managers.
  • Help to evolve and drive CTP’s diversity and inclusion strategy.
  • Drive talent development by participating in the planning of annual performance reviews, professional development, and monitoring employee advancement.
     

Learning and Development

  • Identify and create learning and development opportunities facilitated by internal teams or external partners, including the management of our CTP Edu program.
  • Manage our Internship Program (Fall, Winter/Spring and Summer).
  • Assist in the management and growth of CTP Launchpad, CTP’s apprenticeship program for high school students of color, including student recruiting and curriculum development.
     

People

  • Be accessible to employees for HR-related issues or concerns.
    • Proactively educate yourself around best practices and guidelines in the workplace via 4As (American Association of Advertising Agencies) and other trade associations, online resources and other professional development opportunities.
  • Stay on top of changing employment laws, both local and national, and manage internal communications to our staff.
  • Work closely with our Finance team on maintaining and communicating company policies, benefits administration, compensation and other guidelines, and updating agency portal when appropriate.
  • Become completely familiar with company benefits in order to be the primary resource for employee benefit questions;
  • Review/update/streamline employee review process.
  • Manage employee-related documents such as offer letters, employment agreements and employee handbook updates.
  • Manage the Manager of Culture in the coordination of agency volunteer and philanthropic activities, including Read To A Child and Friends of the Children, participating in these when possible.
     

Agency & Office Management

  • Manage and support Manager of Culture with agency events, celebrations and internal communications around these items.
  • Manage usage and distribution of company perks 
  • Manage updates of Culture section of CTP website as well as the CTP Portal
  • Manage and own all responsibilities in our Office Management Guide, most of which are executed by our Manager of Culture, including:
    • Keeping us fully stocked with supplies, snacks and beverages;
    • Coordinating repairs needed around the office by contacting appropriate resource;
    • Managing and prioritizing all IT needs with our IT partner, including purchase and maintenance of computers and other hardware;
    • Coordinating in person client meeting needs, including scheduling of conference rooms and catering when needed.

What we’d like to see from you:

  • 7-10 years of HR experience (Agency experience a plus)
  • Ability to work in our Boston office 2x/week (Tuesday/Wednesday) and work 1 day remotely (Thursday)
  • Proficiency in Google Suite
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
